(August 23 and 30) - Schedule is available here.
Our goal is to involve our students in an authentic outside-the-classroom experience. The primary purpose of WWW is to provide a unique learning opportunity otherwise not possible in the daily classroom. It is an opportunity for students to build friendships, develop team building and leadership skills, travel to locations outside the school, experience unfamiliar cultures, participate in activity-based programs that include community service, learn about careers by 'doing the work' and prepare for IB exams.
Students of grades 9 through 12 will mix together and choose from a variety of activities both within the Czech Republic and outside of the country. All activities will be chaperoned and led by Upper School teachers and administrators. In addition, we have hired guides and trainers for some of the trips.
Costs for the trips vary from no cost to families to quite high costs, depending on the type of program chosen. Parents will be invoiced at the beginning of June 2019. For some programs, students will need to bring cash for food (lunch and dinner) and public transport tickets for travelling within Prague (if applicable) on the trip.
These programs are often a highlight of our students’ Upper School years and a wonderful educational experience. We consider these programs to be an integral part of our students’ educations and, thus, require that every student attends one of the activities offered. If your student has a religious or medical reason that prevents him or her from participating in the Week Without Walls program, please contact the Upper School principal at your earliest convenience.
Should you have any questions or concerns please free to contact WWW coordinator
Ms. Sandra Malinova at [email protected] or contact responsible program coordinator.
With best regards,
ISP
