WEEK WITHOUT WALLS
(September 2-6, 2019) - exact length of the programs may vary
GENERAL INFORMATION
SELECTION PROCESS
All parents will be emailed a registration form on 30th of April.
Students will choose 3 programs and rank them based on their preference.
We will try our best to give students their number one choice, however, this is unfortunately not always possible. Criteria for placing students in programs are for example gender and age balance, and grade level of the student.
IMPORTANT: Please note that you cannot go on a same trip twice. Please choose accordingly.
The registration must be completed by 7th of May the latest.
If you have more children in grades 8-11, please fill out a form for each of them.
Students will be informed in which program they are by 13th of May. Any changes need to be made by 16th of May. A trip confirmation form will be sent to parents by 20th of May the latest and must be returned to US secretary by 23rd of May.
Once the programs have been determined further information will be sent home. It will be essential that you closely follow ALL instructions so that we can keep our commitments regarding these trips for our 340 students and faculty.
PROGRAMS' SIZE
Programs will range in size from 10-35 student participants. Programs that do not have 10 students registered might be cancelled. Students registered for cancelled programs will be given an opportunity to register for other trips.

The exact date will be stated on the invoice. If a trip change is requested after bookings have been made, the family will need to carry all the costs that cannot be recovered.
NOTE: ALL TRIP COSTS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE DEPENDING ON UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES, VENDOR PRICE CHANGES AND SCHEDULING. IF THIS HAPPENS, ALL PRICING WILL BE ADJUSTED AND ALL STUDENTS AND PARENTS WILL BE NOTIFIED IMMEDIATELY OF SUCH CHANGES IN THEIR ACCOUNT BALANCES.
SAFETY AND SECURITY
The WWW program exposes students to a degree of risk that is atypical of regular on-campus classes. While the trips involving travel, physical activity and exploration are not risk free, safety is of paramount importance and is emphasised as courses are planned and take place.
Teachers - Advisors are briefed about what to do in an emergency and have the authority to make decisions, change the itinerary, or do whatever else is necessary to ensure the safety of the students.
You can be assured that the school takes the safety of the students and advisors seriously. If conditions warrant, a trip may be changed or cancelled due to concerns about safety, political instability, or security. In these situations, ISP cannot guarantee refunds.
MEDICAL/INSURANCE
Parents are required to complete a health form and students must submit it before the trip. The school and advisors need to be aware of any medical issues, physical conditions or allergies along with any medications students will be taking during the trip. For information about recommended shots or boosters for a specific country, it is each parent’s responsibility to consult with your physician at least 6 weeks prior to the student’s departure.
The trip advisors will carry a first aid kit that will contain typical items that might be needed. Advisors have access to an emergency phone number where they can get medical advice while outside of the country. For international trips the insurance coverage is included in the fee and does not need to be purchased independently.
It is strongly advised that if you choose a trip within the Czech Republic where you will be outdoors that you make sure your Tick-borne Encephalitis vaccinations are up to date.
PASSPORT AND VISA REQUIREMENTS
For International Trips, it is recommended to have a passport with at least six months of validity remaining but required length of passport's validity differs in each country.
Depending on the student’s passport and the trip selected, visas may be required. The cost of the visa is NOT included in the trip fees and the price for said visas may vary. The school will provide as much information as possible for obtaining the necessary visas and assist as much as possible; however obtaining such visas is the responsibility of the parent!
BEHAVIORAL EXPECTATIONS
Positive interaction among students, faculty, guides, and local people is a hallmark of all Week Without Walls trips. It is unacceptable for students to inconvenience others, or jeopardise the safety of the group. Students must satisfy the sponsors that they have the background to enjoy the course and that they will be supportive of the group for the duration of the course. Students are expected to study the trip schedule and ensure they have the physical ability to participate in ALL activities.
All the ISP school rules are in effect for the duration of the course. The regular prohibitions regarding insubordination, tobacco, illegal non-prescription drugs and alcohol will be in effect at all times. Flagrant curfew violations or going to “off limits” areas will not be tolerated and all laws of the local country must be obeyed. Advisors in consultation with the administration, have full authority to send home a student whose conduct is unacceptable or compromises the safety of the group. If it is necessary to send a student home, it will be at the parent’s expense.
