Course Description
The trip is organized by a CAS Trips educational student travel tour operator. They focus on sustainable tourism and tackle the UN SDGs whilst engaging in volunteer projects inspired by the notions of Creativity, Activity and Service. Every trip has destination-specific elements that focus on the creative, active and service-orientated parts of volunteer travel.
Once a frontier stronghold of the Angles, the ancient city of Edinburgh, with its quaint, winding streets, will not leave any heart untouched.
The itinerary is a mix of historic and modern – from discovering places where ghosts reside to this day on the Darkside Tour, to interpreting some of the most important artwork of our time in the National Gallery of Modern Art. Making the trip unforgettable are also the Highland games, where everyone is Braveheart for the day. In a deep exploration of this wonderful culture of community, we discover the ancient art of Scottish tartan making, visit unique local arts projects, dance the night away in a traditional Cèilidh and get involved in some fantastic charities.
