The group will get closer through icebreakers and team challenges bringing in the theme of survival. At the end of the afternoon we’ll collect wood for the evening campfire and prepare personalised roasting sticks. In the evening we’ll cook our first desert over camp fire and we’ll begin our project of the week turning a piece of wood into a simple spoon using knives and hot coals.
Day 2
The second day will focus on the most essential survival skills. The students will learn what are their priorities in survival situation. The highlights of the day include learning different methods to start a fire, how to build a shelter using natural materials, useful knots to put up a tarp shelter and a hammock to relax in, how to collect water in wilderness and how to cook in the outdoors. After dinner and some skits & songs around the campfire we will get our sleeping bags and spend the night in hammock shelters in the forest next to Chata Pod Kletí.
Day 3
On the third day we’ll set off on a small adventure journey, but before we leave we'll learn how to use maps and compasses. The students will navigate their way through the countryside to the campsite Dívčí kámen right by river Vltava. On the way the instructors will prepare some first aid scenarios and everyone will contribute to cleaning nature along the paths they walk. When we arrive to the campsite students will put up their tents and cook their dinner on camping stoves following a simple recipe. Once we have eaten we will head to the castle Divči kámen following candlelit path and have a small fire inside the grounds of the ruins. After the evening programme we’ll return back to camp and fall asleep while listening to the sound of river.
Day 4
In the morning we prepare our breakfast and picnic lunch and pack away the tents. We head to a nearby train station to get a train to Zlatá Koruna. We go down to the Vltava River to find our boats for canoeing. On the land the students learn how to steer a boat, how to use the equipment and how to stay safe on the river. Then we hop in the canoes and as we drift down the river putting the skills we just learnt into practice. We enjoy the beautiful surroundings, a fast but safe flowing river and develop some real bonds with our boat partners.
Day 5
On the last morning after checking out of the accommodation we head up the mountain Kleť and go up the oldest viewing tower in Czech Republic. Then just below we head to a small rock town where the group will get introduced to rock climbing.
