Course description
Are you feeling stressed? Are things are going too fast?
Do you feel that you never have time to focus on the present moment? On Mountain Village Retreat, you will get a chance to slow down, to work at one personal project at an unhurried pace, to explore the beautiful natural environment of the “Bohemian Switzerland” National Park, and to learn practices of meditation that will help you to be more mindful and focused in everything you do.
To support this retreat atmosphere, we will "unplug" from digital technologies as much as possible. You may bring cell phones, but may only use them during the dinner hour.
You may bring cameras, but please leave other electronic devices such as laptops* and video games at home, unless they are essential to your personal project.
(*You will need prior approval of chaperone to bring.)
Please note: since we will be doing a lot of walking outside and the weather is always unpredictable, please bring appropriate shoes and outerwear.
Learning Goals
Students will learn practical techniques of how to sustain a healthy lifestyle that will be useful for their future lives: cultivating mental, emotional and physical mindfulness through meditation, yoga and nature walks.
Students will develop the following skills:
· Self awareness
· Focusing and calming the mind
· Communication and team building
