Course Description
African Safari - Northan Tanzania
Tanzania is a country with amazing diversity in humanity, fauna, and wildlife. The experience will start off with two days in Oldonyo Sambu wilderness area with the Maasai people, in northern Tanzania. The next stop will be Tarangire National Park where you will see a whole diversity of wildlife, especially herds of elephants.
The most spectacular and memorable part of the trip will be going to Ngorongoro crater. This must be one of the most amazing sites on the planet, a large volcanic caldera where animals can be seen in their droves including lions and hippopotamus.
This is going to be an amazing experience, it will not be a luxury but it will be something totally different from what you have experienced before and very likely be life changing. You should be ready for an adventure, and although some of the accommodation will be of a reasonable standard, we will be camping for two nights.
Program:
Day 1: Departure to Kilimanjaro in Tanzania via Amsterdam - whole day of travelling
Day 2 & 3: Travelling to Oldonyo Sambu Wilderness area for two nights of camping and hiking
Day 4 & 5: Tarangire National Park
Day 6 & 7: Lake Manyara National Park
Day 8: Travellig to Arusha - free time + shopping, overnight flights to Prague
Day 9: Arrival to Prague
IMPORTANT:
There will be several meetings right after the sign up and up until the trip itself - the meetings will cover all safety procedures - there are mandatory vaccinations needed, we need to discuss any health issues and dietary requirements - please bear in mind that the medical standards are not as high in Tanzania as here and they might not be able to accommodate all special diets, although they will try their best to do it.
Also the group will be sleeping in tents for two nights in one of the National Parks, so please be prepared for a certain level of discomfort.
In addition to that, for some nationalities, the VISA process might be quite lengthy.

- Inspiring learners for life. Cultivate the habit of observation, asking questions, enjoying experiences and exploring the nature.
- Healthy, fulfilling and purposeful. An exploration of nature and local indigenous communities is all about what is fulfilling and purposeful to us. Presence, focus, and observation in learning and exploring our own views helps us to develop a sense of the world and ourselves that is both healthy and fulfilling.
- An authentic global education within a nurturing student-centered environment. This is a hands-on approach to learning about ourselves during the process of observation and exploration. Students will also play a role in decision-making during the trip. Reflection on our own learning will take place on a daily basis as we local food and discuss what we have done and what lies ahead.
